Anti-Bullying
Initiative
Edgerton Local Schools prides itself
in establishing a school culture of acceptance, tolerance, and respect.
Bullying, either physical, emotional, or cyber, can threaten a student’s well
being, and can negatively impact their ability to learn. Our goal at ELS
is to maintain a safe environment for all students. It is essential that
educators, parents, and community stakeholders work together to send a unified
message against bullying. Let’s teach our children that BULLDOGS DON'T BULLY,
and to STAND UP and SPEAK OUT against bullying.
Bully
Reporting
We are excited to announce STOP!T,
an anonymous tool used to report bullying and cyber-bullying, violence,
threats, substance abuse, intolerance, and discrimination. You can
download the STOP!T app or go to the STOP!T
link to report. Use the code EESBULLDOGS.
Anti-Bullying
Wall
Another step we have taken to put an
end to bullying is our “Anti-Bullying Wall”, located directly across from the
high school counseling office. The wall sends the message, “Bulldogs Don’t
Bully” and provides strategies on how to “Stand Up” and “Speak Out” against
bullying. Located on the wall is an anonymous drop box where students are
encouraged to report all incidents of bullying. The box will be checked daily
and reports will be followed up on immediately.
