UPDATE - Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 Announcement
Edgerton Local Schools is committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. I need to inform you that we have recently received information regarding one confirmed case of COVID-19 in a student of Edgerton Local Schools, but who attends Four County Career Center. Edgerton Local Schools will remain open at this time and are working closely with the Williams County Health Department for guidance and as a part of the COVID -19 investigation. I encourage everyone to remain calm, empathetic, and respectful to those affected. Please refer to the attached letter and WCHD Decision Tree, for more specific information for our Edgerton families.
Good afternoon Bulldog Nation,
We have attached the Williams County Covid-19 School Re-Opening Plan, constructed by district superintendents, for you to become familiar with. It also includes the Williams County Health Department Decision Tree to better inform you of the COVID symptoms and the process of notifying the Health Department if positive tests occur. Any confirmed cases and their close contacts will be monitored by the health department. As a followup up to this plan, I'll be working with my administrative team to construct a more specific plan for the Edgerton Local Schools, which will speak to decisions regarding student masks, bus transportation, and food service, just to name few. Thank you in advance for your support as we face many difficult decisions in preparation for opening the 2020-2021 school year, August 19th. Also thanks to those who filled out the parental survey, which will provide me important data in formulating the district plan, which will be released in late July. I've also attached Governor Dewine's COVID Prevention Plan for K-12 Schools.
